Sawa Theatre is an Arabic/English theatre program for newcomer youth that aims to foster creativity, promote personal growth, and encourage solidarity. This program is a collaborative project, established by a group of dedicated university students and young artists in 2016 who all share a similar vision and passion for theatre: both as a platform for challenging harmful misconceptions as well as providing an outlet for personal growth.
Special thanks to the University of Manitoba Faculty of Arts Endowment Fund, Manitoba Arts Council, the Inspirit Foundation, and all the many friends of Sawa for their ongoing love and support.
