20th Anniversaty Gala Concert
New York’s legendary, multi-Grammy-winning Vanguard Jazz Orchestra will make a rare Canadian appearance to help us celebrate our 20th anniversary with two concerts at the Winnipeg Art Gallery.
Founded in 1966 by trumpeter Thad Jones and drummer Mel Lewis, the VJO, a New York institution at the famed Village Vanguard Jazz Club, has been the absolute standard-bearer for big band for over five decades.
