About Flo Bambenek’s
Country Girl
(Tellwell)
ISBN 978-0-2288-7707-3
Country Girl is my memoir of living in rural Manitoba as a child. Life was so simple and innocent as a small child, sheltered from the harshness of the world. I am extremely naïve as I enter adulthood. I tell how Al-anon saved my daughters and my life, how Al-anon gave me the courage and strength to seek happiness and fulfillment.

About Flo Bambenek:
Flo Bambenek lives in Manitoba with her husband Dave. She has one daughter and son-in-law, along with three grandsons. Flo enjoys quilting, embroidery work, reading all kinds of genres, gardening, and, of course, writing. Along with her husband, she enjoys camping every summer and loves fishing and bonfires.
Flo has also worked as a ghostwriter for a friend’s Memoir. Most recently Flo published the novel Yearning, which is a story inspired by her auntie. She enjoys writing fiction the most.

Yearning is a story of a woman who felt abandoned and unloved throughout her whole life, and how she finally reconciles these emotions. The story also describes the changes she saw and lived throughout the 20th century and how the changes affected people in how they live today.
