Doug Edmond, singer, songwriter, pianist and flutist, is an independent jazz and roots/alternative artist. Doug performs solo or with his trio or five-piece band in many local and festival venues across the province and northwest Ontario. His past three albums reflect diverse musical influences and styles. He has performed at six editions of the TD Winnipeg International Jazz Festival, notably paying tribute to Tom Waits in 2012.
Doug will be releasing his fourth album this fall produced by his drummer Mitch Dorge and featuring Alasdair Dunlop on bass, Rubin Kantorovich on guitars, Richard Moody on violin, as well as backing vocals from Sweet Alibi. Watch for pre-release tunes and video prior to the album release in early fall.
