The Evolution of the Canadian Grain Industry: A Tour of Winnipeg Buildings

Join host Patty Rosher for a 1 hour guided tour exploring agriculture as Winnipeg’s formative industry and how it continues to sustain our city through to today.

This tour will follow the evolution of the industry from the Exchange District up Main Street to Lombard Street and then to Portage and Main. Continuing to Waterfront Drive, participants will discuss the industry’s persistent presence and newest investment. Equally of interest, walkers will also witness the evolution in architectural styles downtown as they go.

Time: 10AM sharp

Meeting Place: Outside 160 Princess Street

Walk/Tour Time: 1 hour (10AM – 11AM)

Participants will be walking 1.1 km one way, tour will be in English, family-friendly, pet-friendly, wheelchair and stroller friendly, busy sidewalks, fast-paced, covering lots of ground
