Cost details: Free. No registration is required, but seating capacity is only 400; families are encouraged to arrive early. Paid parking is available near the Museum.
Warm up a cold Winnipeg night by joining us for the 2nd annual Winterruption Round Dance. A partnership of sākihiwē festival, the West End Cultural Centre and the CMHR, the evening includes a pipe ceremony starting at 5 p.m., a feast at 6 p.m. and song from 7 p.m.-10:30 p.m. featuring stickman Darryl Buck and a range of singers.
Emcees Tonia Jo Hall and Joel Wood will keep your blood flowing with ribbon skirt and ribbon shirt contests, spot dances and a prize giveaway to close out the night.
It all happens in Bonnie & John Buhler Hall on Saturday, January 27. Admission is free and all are welcome. This event is part of Winterruption, a week of events designed to heat up Winnipeg.
