Everything You Need to Know About Winnipeg’s 2025 Whiteout Street Parties

Get ready, Winnipeg — the legendary Whiteout is back, and downtown is about to be transformed into a blizzard of energy, unity, and pure playoff passion.

With the Winnipeg Jets clinching a playoff spot, it’s officially time to pull out your white gear, paint your face, and meet 5,000 of your loudest, proudest neighbours for what has become one of the most iconic celebrations in Canadian sports. The 2025 Whiteout Street Parties are coming — and here’s what you need to know to join the fun.

What Are the Whiteout Street Parties?

Hosted by True North Sports + Entertainment in partnership with the Province of Manitoba, the City of Winnipeg, and Economic Development Winnipeg, these parties are about more than just hockey. They’re a celebration of local pride, creativity, and community impact.

Started in 2018 and rooted in the original Jets franchise from the late ’80s, the Whiteout Street Parties have evolved into a full-on citywide phenomenon. Donald Street turns into a giant outdoor arena of community spirit, where fans unite to watch the game, dance to DJs, feast from food trucks, and make some serious noise for the home team.

Where and When Is It Happening?

The parties take place before and during every Jets home playoff game, transforming Donald Street between Portage Avenue and Honourary Dale Hawerchuk Way (aka Graham Avenue) into a fan zone like no other.

If you live at 300 Main, you’re just a 5-minute walk away from all the action. That’s one of the perks of downtown living — the biggest events in the city are literally outside your front door.

Gates open two hours before the puck drop.
Entrance is $10, and if you’ve got a ticket to the game, you can access the party with your gameday ticket — no extra pass needed.

While game dates and times are still to be announced, tickets for the first two Street Parties go on sale Tuesday, April 15 at noon through Ticketmaster.

What’s New This Year?

This year, the party gets even bigger. The iconic Metropolitan Entertainment Centre joins the official party footprint, offering food, beverages, and extra amenities exclusively for ticket holders.

Other exciting features:

  • Massive screens broadcasting the games
  • Live DJs, guest hosts, and entertainment
  • Local food trucks and concessions
  • Giveaways and prizes
  • Jets Gear pop-ups
  • Access to The MET for a cozy break

And for 300 Main residents, you’ll enjoy front-row access to the heart of the city — whether you’re hitting the party or simply watching it unfold from your suite.

Where Your Money Goes

More than just a good time, the Whiteout Parties have raised over $312,000 to date for local organizations tackling homelessness, addiction, and mental health.

This year, $5 from every ticket goes to United Way Winnipeg, supporting essential services like N’Dinawemak, Main Street Project, Velma’s House, and the Bruce Oake Recovery Centre. In a city with such a strong community spirit, it’s one more reason to show up and show out.

If you live at 300 Main, that heartbeat is all around you. From your suite, to the streets, to the top-floor lounge overlooking the action — this is where the city comes alive.

So dig out your white hoodie, charge your phone, and get ready to be part of the storm.
This spring, Winnipeg doesn’t melt — it freezes in celebration.

Let’s make some noise. Go Jets Go.
