The year is coming to a close, and we are looking longingly to 2023 with the hope and promise we try to bring into every new year. But before we can get there, we must ceremoniously send off 2022.
Here is a collection of New Year’s Eve events in Winnipeg, specifically the ones that are close to us here at 300 Main. There is a pyro show at The Forks, bountiful beers, delicious dinners, family fun, and so much in between. We believe this list has a little something for everyone.
New Year’s Eve Festivities at The Forks
It’s hard to imagine a more iconic Winnipeg celebration than New Year’s Eve at The Forks, complete with great music, delicious food, and the sometimes chilly but always enchanting pyro show. The celebration starts in the afternoon and goes late into the night, with activities and entertainment for everyone.
The afternoon and evening are brimming with music and activities for young and old. At 8:00 pm, there will be an early countdown to the New Year and an enormous pyro show for all ages by the team at Archangel Fireworks. After that show, head inside for some of Manitoba’s most talented artists performing pop-up style throughout the night, including Tommy Douglas Keenan, The Secret Beach, and Dr. Henry Band.
Listen for DJ Bruce Lord and DJ Sallyboo to provide the background tracks, and keep an eye out for other surprises throughout the evening. Food vendors and retail shops will be open till midnight, and The Common will be open until 1:00 am.

Chez Nonsuch
If you’re looking for a unique and festive way to ring in the new year, consider celebrating at Nonsuch Brewing Company. They have separated the evening into two unique ways to celebrate. You can go with a four-course guided dinner in the early evening, or a beer party that will go from 10:00 pm into 2023, or, both.
The early part of the night will feature a one-night-only meal, each course paired with one 4oz pour of beer, featuring new exclusive beers as well as samples from their cellared products.
The latter part of the evening features DJ Janky Knee spinning some funky cuts, which will keep you dancing all night long. And, of course, there will be beer. Before you leave, don’t forget to take advantage of the friends and family discount of 10% off all retail bottled and canned beer.
