Downtown Sounds Concert Series (June 20 – September 5)

All summer long, downtown Winnipeg is filled with vibrant melodies and exciting performances.

Whether it’s your day off from work or you’re looking for something to do during your lunch break, you can catch free live performances by local artists at various downtown locations.

Join Andrina Turenne,  a Métis/Franco-Manitoban singer-songwriter from St-Boniface, Manitoba,  as she takes the stage on August 15. Her music seamlessly weaves between languages and draws inspiration from her own life experiences and her travels, as well as the rich history and beauty of the land she grew from. She has contributed vocals to over 50 albums and has a Juno from her days in her former band, Chic Gamine. Other performers this summer include Tuva Bergstrom, Papa Mambo, The Flaming Starrs Aerial and Fire and Jupiter Meltdown.

Downtown Winnipeg Farmer’s Market

The Downtown Winnipeg Farmer’s Market is held every Thursday at Manitoba Hydro Place and True North Square until September 14. It features a wide range of fresh produce, delectable treats and locally-made goods, from jams and vegetables to locally prepared baked goods to crafts and jewelry. It is a great opportunity to support local businesses, connect with producers and makers from across the province and find fresh, quality products to nourish your mind, body, and taste buds.

Winnipeg Goldeyes (July 8 – August 27)

As the summer heat turns up, there’s no better way to spend your evening than watching sports outdoors. Catch the Goldeyes play at Shaw Park in downtown Winnipeg this summer. You can enjoy post-game fireworks, giveaways, and so much more for the whole family. Tickets at Ticketmaster start at $15.50.

With so many things to do downtown, it’s another reason to make 300 Main your new home.
